We would like to congratulate one of our 1st year music students Alyssa Seavers who won the final of the 'Win Big Song Writing Competition' with her composition 'Eye Sockets'. This event was run by staff and students of Cavan Institute’s Music and Sound Production and Creative Digital Media course and held in the Cavan Crystal Hotel today
Alyssa took on stiff competition from other schools in Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim and Longford to win the top prize which includes a complete production of her song - from recording to mixing and mastering, to artwork and graphic design for online platforms.
Her song will be launched live on the Charlie McGettigan show on Northern Sound in the coming weeks!!
Alyssa has also won a €500 music equipment voucher for herself and €1000 music equipment voucher for Virginia College from Big Bear Sound Limited.
